A-N-Y team CONSIDERING trading for D. Watson is insane. NO ONE knows how: 1) the 22 (!) civil cases will be resolved; 2) the criminal cases will be resolved; and 3) if Goodell will (almost certainly) place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List (prevented him from playing).

Derrick Henry broke a bone in his foot. Out 6-10 weeks.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Derrick Henry will undergo foot surgery and does not know when he will return.​

Vrabel added, "We will have to move on, unfortunately without him, in the short term and not look back." Coach didn't say Henry was out for the year but that possibility still looks likely. He later said that they have confidence in backup runner Jeremy McNichols. However, Vrabel also brought up the idea of a committee backfield when asked about replacing Henry's production. Henry fractured the 5th metatarsal bone in his foot versus the Colts on Sunday. Adam Schefter noted that he could return for a playoff run if the Titans make it that far and Vrabel did say there was a chance he is back later this year. It's a devastating blow for a runner who was on pace for a generational season. McNichols has gotten in the mix as a third-down option for Tennessee this year and is expected to be the next man up, making him the premier waiver wire add of the week. It's possible that the Titans sign a veteran free agent as well.

Michael Silver reports Browns coach Kevin Stefanski told players that Odell Beckham "is essentially not on the team right now."​

Silver added that Stefanski informed players the team told Beckham to stay home which explains why he wasn't at practice today. All signs point to the disgruntled receiver being done in Cleveland. Rumors swirled around possible trades for the former star but nothing materialized ahead of Tuesday's deadline. The Saints were reportedly interested in him but didn't want to take on much of his salary. If he is cut by Cleveland, Beckham will land on waivers where teams can claim him and his lofty cap hit this year. If he clears waivers, the Browns will eat the remainder of his dead cap hit and Beckham will become a free agent. Beckham's situation remains in flux but fantasy managers can plan on being without him for Week 9.

How about that. I realize it is not 2015 Cam that is walking in the door but he cannot be worse than Darnold. The defense is not bad and could make some noise if they get absolutely any help from the offense. At the very least, Panthers football will be interesting in the final half of the season.

The Panthers have placed running back Christian McCaffrey on Injured Reserve. His season is over. At the conclusion of the season, McCaffrey will have missed 23 of 33 possible games since Carolina made him the highest paid RB in the league history.

There is speculation that Washington vs. Philly and Rams vs. Seahawks could be moved to Tuesday as those clubs are have been hit with outbreaks.
